Printed Electronics for Automotive Applications—powered by LOPEC and OE-A

Printed electronics is a key enabling technology, associated with features like thin, lightweight, flexible, robust and produced at low cost. These characteristics facilitate individualized product solutions without compromising the design and thus turn it into a true enabler of new innovative applications and products for a variety of major industry sectors. The seminar ‘Printed Electronics for Automotive Applications’, organized by OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association), a working group within VDMA, covers printed electronics applications in the automotive sector, an industry that is changing drastically, driven by the transition to autonomous and electric vehicles. Printed electronics perfectly meet the related challenges by allowing e.g. the seamless integration of sensors and flexible displays for smart human-machine interfaces or printed heating concepts for electric vehicles.

In this free seminar, renown industry experts will talk about the increasingly important role of printed electronics in the automotive sector, presenting the latest developments and applications of this key enabling technology in the field.

Printed Electronics: Trends and Market Applications—powered by LOPEC and OE-A

Flexible, organic and printed electronics is constantly opening up new areas of application through continuous evolution of the technology and has developed into a large global market in recent years through its establishment in important industrial sectors. In addition to consumer electronics, important areas of application include the automotive industry, healthcare, smart packaging, smart buildings and the Internet of Things (IoT): Printed Electronics are used worldwide in numerous products and industries. Its key features - light, flexible, thin and low production costs - enable the latest customer-specific products without design limitations. In this regard, the flexible form factor turns organic and printed electronics into a true key enabling technology: Besides the fabrication of flexible PCBs, it facilitates various types of sensors that enable e.g. the next generation of human-machine interfaces, improved product logistics and waste management or wearable smart patches for vital parameter monitoring. In this free seminar, organized by OE-A (Organic and Printed Electronics Association), a working group within VDMA, renown experts will present the latest trends and developments as well as market applications of flexible and printed electronics.
